We use only pH-neutral, eco-friendly cleaning solutions specifically formulated for natural stone and slate. Harsh chemicals, bleach, or acidic cleaners are strictly avoided as they can cause discoloration, corrosion of copper flashing and nails, and long-term damage to the slate itself. Once the slate roof is thoroughly cleaned and completely dry (which can take 24-48 hours depending on weather conditions), the sealing process begins.The choice of sealer is crucial. We use commercial-grade, breathable sealers designed specifically for natural slate.
